Dear Lazywebs:
I am in need of a diary-free birthday treat for 15 kids that can fit in a 6-year-old's backback.
My fallback is fruit roll-ups, but I'm hoping for something a little more interesting. Ideas?
Also, OMFG, R is going to be 6 tomorrow! I think I need to go back to bed.

maybe dip dried apricots in the chocolate - they should be sturdy enough to go in a back pack without smooshing

The rice krispy treats are also a good idea.
You could also make bags of "puppy chow"; just substitute margarine.

I make zucchini muffins from this recipe (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Moms-Zucchini-Bread/Detail.aspx). (Just leave out the walnuts for school.) Fabulous.

we could not do home made foods- so good luck! i would hit trader joe's and find something there, that way it's store bought and nutritious.
